"title": "Destined Rivals Costs 3.7x Journey Together, and It Is Not Because It Is More Top-Heavy",
"summary": "Two Scarlet and Violet sets, released nine weeks apart. Destined Rivals is worth $1,750.98 on our tape and Journey Together $478.17. The obvious explanation is that Destined Rivals has a bigger chase card carrying the index, and the chase card is indeed 4.4 times dearer. But the two sets hold almost exactly the same share of their value in their top five, 58.3% against 57.2%. Destined Rivals is bigger everywhere at once. Its cards outside the top ten are worth $487.23, which is more than the whole of Journey Together.",

"Set value is the sum of the market price of every card we track in a set. Both sets qualify for release-date analysis because our series begins before each set's release, so the catalog was complete when the measurement window opened. All launch figures use the first reading dated on or after the published release date, never the first reading in the series, which for both sets is a pre-release stub. Slice values are derived from the recorded top-five and top-ten concentration ratios applied to set value; the five top cards listed individually sum to $1,020.48 against $1,020.64 derived, a 0.02% difference from rounding. Set indices are as of September 17, 2026. Card-level moves cover the 22 days ending September 20, 2026 and only lines priced at $1 or more on the first of those days; two lines have no catalog entry and are counted but not named. Sealed figures are current listing prices with their own 30-day change, not sold comps. Nothing here is investment advice."
