    "Set value is the sum of the market price of every card we track in a set, so it responds both to prices and to catalog coverage. The universe is therefore restricted to sets whose recorded series begins before the set's own release date, which guarantees the catalog was complete for the entire measured window; ten sets qualify, plus a promo bin excluded because it grows by accumulating cards and 30th Celebration, excluded because it was released four days ago. Release price means the first reading dated on or after the published release date, never the first reading in the series, which on every set in this cohort is a pre-release stub. Readings are weekly from each series start to October 27, 2025 and daily from October 29, 2025, and most sets then have a gap of 35 to 40 days between late July and August 30, 2026, which Black Bolt, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black do not share, so early peaks and floors are weekly observations and may understate true intra-week extremes. A set whose tape does not reach back 90 days is reported as n/a over that window rather than clamped to its earliest reading. Set indices are as of each set's latest reading, which is September 17 to September 20, 2026 depending on the set. Percentile means the share of a set's own post-release readings that are below its current reading. Sealed figures are current listing prices with their own 30-day change, not sold comps, and no booster box row exists on our tape for White Flare, Black Bolt or Ascended Heroes.
