The worst card to be holding in Ascended Heroes this past month was Mega Eelektross ex #278, a Special illustration rare that went from $28.16 to $17.08, down 39.4%. You'd expect a fall like that to have a day you could circle, one morning where the bottom dropped out. It doesn't. No single day carried more than 25% of the move, and that turns out to be the story of the whole top of the set.

of the set's value in five cardsAscended Heroes, October 4 to November 2, 2026

We tracked TCGplayer market prices for all 516 cards in Ascended Heroes across the 30 days from October 4 to November 2, and the ranking below is the ten steepest percentage falls among cards that cost $20 or more when the window opened. That $20 line matters, because 27 cards sat above it on October 4 and every one of the 27 got cheaper. Not most of them. All of them, with a typical drop of 24.1%, against a 6.4% median fall for the set as a whole. If you bought chase cards early, this is where your money went.

Read down the ranking and one thing stands out: of the 10 cards on it, zero moved in a single one-day repricing. Every one slid steadily. Iono's Bellibolt ex #279 lost 39.2%, $54.29 down to $33.01, and no day carried more than 13% of it. Pikachu ex #276, the set's heavyweight, gave up $329.95 in falling from $926.12 to $596.17, and even there no day carried more than 15%. These weren't crashes. They were erosion, the price file arriving each morning a little lighter than the day before, the way a binder gets thinner when you pull a page at a time.

The rest of the set barely noticed

What the ranking hides is how ordinary the damage was everywhere else. Of the 516 cards, 309 got cheaper and 170 actually got more expensive, and the 431 cards under a dollar fell a typical 4.0%, barely a rounding error on a bulk rare. The pain sat at the top in a way that's hard to overstate: the five priciest cards held 59.8% of the whole set's cost, and just five cards accounted for 63.4% of all the money lost, $1,132.94 summed over every card that fell. One copy of everything cost $4,879.28 on October 4 and $3,757.50 on November 2, down 23.0%, and most of that hole was dug by a handful of illustration rares. What these figures can't tell you is whether the slide stops here or keeps going.

These weren't crashes. They were erosion, the price arriving each morning a little lighter.

So if you're sitting on a copy of Mega Froslass ex #275 or Lillie's Clefairy ex #280, down 33.5% and 29.3% respectively, the honest reading of this window is that nobody panicked, and nobody had to. A panic day at least gives you a bottom to point at. A slow bleed gives you nothing but a decision, and my view is that a market where every single $20 card falls together, quietly, for 30 straight days, is a market still looking for its floor. The card shop counter version of that is simple: the buyer can afford to be patient, because the seller already hasn't been rewarded for it.

Population: Ascended Heroes, 516 English cards with a TCGplayer market price on both October 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026. Every move compares a card to itself on the same TCGplayer product, first day against last, before anything is ranked or summed; a set total is never compared across days. Prices are TCGplayer market prices for the flagship printing, read from our daily price file. Graded figures are sold medians from our graded comps, PSA population counts come from our daily registry snapshot, and the expected value counts the PSA 9 outcome as well as the PSA 10, net of the grading fee and selling costs. Angle: the steepest percentage falls above a price floor, each with how much of its fall landed in one day.
